1968, as Black Sabbath was just getting started, guitarist Tony Iommi was asked to audition with Jethro Tull. Due to his limitations as a guitar player he only played with the band a couple times and was not asked to join. He did, however, show up in the band during The Rolling Stones “Rock and Roll Circus” miming away on “Song for Jeffrey”.
