MADEWORN X GUNS N’ ROSES
Working in conjunction with Live Nation and Gibson Brands, Blaine Halvorson of MadeWorn oversaw initial concepting, as well as executing design, creative direction and construction of an experiential pop-up space constructed inside the iconic Tower Records building on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. Created to kick off a series of secret shows in preparation for Guns N’ Roses first tour in over 20 years, the space offered day of ticket sales to 200 lucky fans to GNRs’ surprise show at the legendary Troubadour.
Built from the ground up in just 4 days, the GNR pop-up was a powerful physical manifestation MadeWorn’s uniquely detailed visual aesthetic. A meticulously thought-out replication of a classic Sunset Strip rock’n’roll club circa the mid-1980s, this was a space where every dirty ashtray and forgotten whisky glass is placed with a keen sense for pop cultural nostalgia.
Hugely successful, this immersive pop-up was created to share the Guns N’ Roses legacy with longtime fans, allowing for direct experiential interaction as well as an unprecedented opportunity for social media shares.
